If we say that we have no sin,
We deceive ourselves,
And the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins,
God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
And to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned,
We make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
...Therefore let him who thinks he stands
Take heed lest he fall.
No temptation has overtaken you
Except such as is common to man.
But God is faithful.
He will not allow you to be tempted
Beyond what you are able,
But with the temptation
Will also make the way of escape,
That you may be able to bear it.
