Beyond Love
As I look up at the moonlit night,
The stars twinkle with your smile so bright.
Neither fairies nor nymphs so rare,
Against your beauty can even compare.
As we lay side by side on the forest green grass,
I think, "you are mine my sweet rose. . .at last."
Soon light drops of dew fall upon your face,
And you close your eyes to let them embrace.
Standing up you welcome the tears from the sky
As the hidden angels weep and cry.
They envy your enchanting beauty,
Given to you by the great almighty.
Smiling, I wrap my arms around you,
And say, "our meeting was long-overdue."
Turning around you hug me with all your might,
And say, "No, my love, we have bet before this night,
A thousand ages ago but now we shall truly unite."
